Our building has been purposely designed and built with children at the forefront, we are able to offer large, colourful and fun areas with all our furniture and facilities being fully accessible to your child.
Our facilities are able to offer your child a range of environments to explore and play safely. With a dedicated room for babies and toddlers (0 -2 years) where we offer activities which will revolve around the children’s own feeding and sleeping patterns as established by parents. Activities will include singing and talking to children, lots of eye and physical contact, use of baby toys, feely mats, water play, painting, sensory activities, exploration of textured fabrics and play materials, books and music activities. These are planned to promote sitting skills, progressing on to activities to encourage mobile exploration.
Nappy changing and personal care for children will be carried out during the day as per your child’s individual needs.
We also have a dedicated room for children aged 2 – 4 years where Children will be encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that will promote all areas of learning. The activities are based on themes and aim to be challenging, motivating, increase children’s curiosity and independence and are linked with the Early Years Foundation Phase. These activitiees include art and crafts, water and sand play, construction, role-play, books, early numbers and writing as well as free play sessions.
We aim to provide a bilingual child care service as far as possible; however your child will be spoken to in English on a day-to-day basis. Resolven Building Blocks will teach and practice Welsh songs and numbers with the children. Some displays and books will be in the Welsh Medium.
